Elemental Phosphorus

When phosphates level become excessive, plants are unable to absorb them and hence it becomes available to algae. Phosphorus is vital for plant growth and hence, Elemental Phosphorus by Aquatrition® allows precise and controlled dosing of phosphorus for aquatic plants.

We recommend dosing 5mL of the solution per 60 liters of water to raise the phosphorus concentration equivalent to 1.2 mg/L phosphate

In a planted tank, phosphate concentrations should be maintained at 0.2 to 3 mg/L along with adequate nitrogen and potassium dosing.

All plants are reliant on photosynthesis. Based on this, it would be ideal to dose Elemental Phosphorus just before the lights being turned on. This way the aquatic plants will have a readily available nutrient source for making their food.

No, Elemental Phosphorus doesn’t have an expiry date. It is suggested that you store the product in a dark and a cool place away from sunlight hence, requiring no refrigeration.
