Iron Plus is a concentrated (12000 mg/L) iron source derived from amalgamation of various ferrous salts, which ensures short to long term supply of iron in a planted tank.
Iron is an important nutrient in the planted aquarium. In order to maintain an adequate iron concentration, it should be dosed on a fairly regular basis (daily). By having separate micro/trace and iron supplements, the hobbyist impart vibrancy in their red and green aquatic plants.
We recommend dosing 1mL of the solution per 60 liters of water to raise the iron concentration by 0.2 mg/L.
Typical concentrations of iron should be maintained between 0.05 to 0.5 mg/L in a planted aquarium.
Photosynthesis is reliant on photosynthesis. Based on this, it would be ideal to dose Iron Plus during the day. This iron source is available for up to 24 hours before it dissipates, you can dose at any time of the day and the product will be available for the next 24 hours. There is no impact on pH using it.
No, Iron Plus doesn’t have an expiry date. It is suggested that you store the product in a dark and a cool place away from sunlight hence, requiring no refrigeration.
