Elemental Potassium is a concentrated (60000 mg/L) source of potassium with pH buffering capacity.
Elemental Potassium by Aquatrition® increases the carbonate hardness (KH) thus improving the pH buffering capacity of the water.
We recommend dosing 5mL of the solution per 60 liters of water to raise the potassium concentration by 5 mg/L.
Typical concentrations of potassium should be maintained around 10 to 40 mg/L in a planted aquarium.
All plants are reliant on photosynthesis. Based on this, it would be ideal to dose Elemental Potassium just before the lights being turned on. This way the aquatic plants will have a readily available nutrient source for making their food.
No, Elemental Potassium doesn’t have an expiry date. It is suggested that you store the product in a dark and a cool place away from sunlight hence, requiring no refrigeration.
